Vanessa Wyrwoll (ESR4) had the opportunity to attend the 22nd Conference for Women in Physics at her former University in Oldenburg, Germany on September 27th - 30th. During the conference she presented her research activities in front of students aiming at motiving and growing their interest in physics. Furthermore, she had the pleasure to meet Mary K. Gaillard, who's been an important role model for Women in Physics and was involved in the Standard Model investigations. She's also written an inspiring book titled "Singularly Unfeminine Profession, A: One Woman's Journey in Physics" and she's been a female theoretical physicist at CERN.
